Hello

Welcome! We're delighted to introduce you to the founder and driving force behind NaathBehavior ABA Services.

Brief Background

Gatwech R. Miak is a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), licensed in Iowa and Illinois, with more than 16 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across residential, clinical, and hospital settings. His work is grounded in dignity, independence, and culturally responsive care—ensuring that every person receives support that honors their identity, values, and lived experience.

As the Founder of NaathBehavior ABA Services, Gatwech is committed to expanding access to high‑quality, culturally attuned Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for families, ABA agencies, and residential organizations throughout Iowa. He established the practice to address long‑standing gaps in service availability, cultural understanding, and caregiver support. His mission is to ensure that every family—especially those historically underserved—can access effective, respectful, and empowering behavioral care.

Gatwech’s clinical expertise includes conducting functional analyses to understand the purpose of challenging behavior and developing evidence‑based interventions that lead to meaningful, lasting change. With more than 16 years of experience teaching adaptive and life skills, he specializes in training residential and direct‑support staff to implement skill‑building procedures with confidence and fidelity. His approach emphasizes hands‑on coaching for parents, caregivers, and staff, ensuring that strategies are practical, sustainable, and grounded in real‑world environments.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdepartmental Studies, Health Science emphasis from the University of Iowa and a Master of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science from the University of Kansas. He is currently a doctoral student in Applied Behavior Analysis at Endicott College, Institute for Applied Behavioral Science.

Gatwech’s mission is clear: to deliver compassionate, culturally grounded, and accessible ABA services that empower individuals, families, and communities to thrive.
